I am an American violinist who currently lives and works in London, UK. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to create a chamber music festival - a retreat for me and my musician friends and colleagues, a series of concerts to bring to local audiences, and an occasion to celebrate the joys of life and music.
I finally found the ideal set of conditions to make my dream come true. The Inaugural Glenn Douglas Winter Chamber Music Festival, named after my late father, the most avid music-lover I ever knew, took place in South Florida during the holiday season 2018-2019. My colleagues and I brought classical music out of the concert hall and performed a series of intimate concerts in unique local venues: the Ritz Carlton Hotel Bal Harbour and the Art Gallery at the Four Seasons Residences Surfside. The second and third seasons subsequently took place, and we have been growing in popularity every year!
I am beyond excited to announce that the Fourth Annual Glenn Douglas Winter Chamber Music Festival will occur during the first week of April 2022. This year’s festival sees us trial a slightly different time of year than has been the norm until now: due to the Omicron surge, it didn’t make sense to hold performances this past holiday season! Therefore, let us please welcome you to our first ever “Spring Edition,” in which we will hold four performances at varied venues in Bal Harbour and Surfside.
All of our concerts will be full of diverse and varied music, featuring works of composers ranging from Haydn and Beethoven to Shostakovich and Ullmann and everything in between! Head over to “Concerts & Tickets” to see detailed program information and to book tickets.
